ELECTION TIMING

Apparently, on November 1st, a US drone was fired at by Iranian fighter planes.  According to WSJ:

A senior administration official said Republicans and Democrats in Congress were briefed on the incident Nov. 2, and congressional aides for both parties confirmed some staff members were briefed. Republican presidential challenger Mitt Romney wasn't briefed, an aide said.

The story comes out after the election on November 6th.  Reports claim it only came out because CNN reported it, which seems very out of character for CNN.

On November 9th, CIA Director David Petraeus announced his resignation, reportedly due to an affair with the woman who wrote his biography.  Also announced is that he will no longer testify next week in a House Intelligence Committee hearing on the 9/11/2012 attack in Benghazi, to which he originally reported was all due to a spontaneous uproar over a youtube video.

Get ready for four more years of watching the people who opposed Bush/Cheney cheer on Barack Obama for embracing and furthering the same policies, cheer on the War of Terror, cheer on the normalization of warrantless spying, drone warfare at home and abroad, police militarization, the assassination of men, women, and children (Americans included), the complete loss of due process and habeas corpus, continued punishment for whistleblowers (prosecuting more whistlebowers than all presidents combined (and less pardons than Reagan)), continued expansion of charter schools and Bush era school reform, support for Halliburton, private military contractors, Monsanto, unwavering support for Israel, and an attack on Iran. Go Democrats!
