I'm changing the name of this blog to "FUCK OBAMA!"

Seriously, WHAT A MOTHER FUCKING ASSHOLE THIS COCKSUCKER IS.

(12-07) 11:33 PST SAN FRANCISCO -- The Obama administration has asked an appeals court to dismiss a lawsuit accusing former Bush administration attorney John Yoo of authorizing the torture of a terrorism suspect, saying federal law does not allow damage claims against lawyers who advise the president on national security issues.

and this today...

AMY GOODMAN: Finally, Nnimmo Bassey, what do you want to happen out of here, when you have world leaders like our own President Obama saying there will not be a binding agreement coming out of COP15, this summit?

NNIMMO BASSEY: It’s really shocking that Obama would say a thing like that, before even coming down here. It’s like telling us that we’ve come here to waste our time. I mean, that kind of statement means to me that we have a lot of time to play around with politics of climate change. But indeed, the world has no time. We’ve run out of time. We are not even in injury time. We’ve gone to the brink. And the United States—President of United States, Obama, has a responsibility to take this matter seriously. It’s an issue of justice. And it’s completely unethical to play politics or play under the table. To make some private secret deals among presidents about climate change, that is totally unacceptable.

And to think, my friend had the nerve to say, "That's nice of him to go. He didn't have to do that."

If you measure him against the standard of leaders across the world who attended, and didn't play childish political games, he is pathetic.

If you measure him against the standard of just the US and China, who fucking cares. That's no measurement.

And yes, of course he won't be our savior. To the same degree that Bush/Cheney weren't.

But also was wondering if you heard the news today? Before you were saying, "just wait, he'll probably come out with some secret amazing deal with India and China and unveil it in Copenhagen."

It was secret all right.

you are right, after i saw the 'danish leaks' i was thinking...is this is what he was working on?

i saw the news instantly on twitter, and i had already linked to naimo klein's piece in the nation on my facebook page before i even saw the bangor blues. so yes, i am very very concerned that big o is going to waste this opportunity

but they are still just leaks, and i will wait until next week to really see what he was planning. i am still hoping that he is able to get something promising out of copenhagen, but its definitely getting gloomier
